Ever since its inception in 1975, Maxalto has established itself as B&B Italia's "new classic" brand. Having developed
a personal identity in specialised production of artisan furniture, much of its success can be attributed to its careful
melange of past and present; by blending sophisticated craftsmanship with the most advanced technology, Maxalto has
a consolidated wealth of tradition, authenticity and know-how. Its contemporary classic furnishings combine superior
materials, meticulous workmanship, exclusive details and customised solutions.
In 1993,
Antonio Citterio took hold of the brand, becoming
its sole creative director. His many projects are an exercise in proportions, precious materials and attention to detail
with the result being a complete furniture offering, not just in wood, but also in upholstery.
"There is a direction that I followed when I designed the Maxalto collection: the feel of the bourgeois room and last century's traditions" he
says
.
Although very distinctive, the five Maxalto collections reveal a common and coordinated spirit, proposing elegant interiors
for those who seek tradition with a contemporary twist. From the distinguished features of the Simplice collection
(

of the Febo family (

Maxalto pieces will always maintain elegance with a functional soul.
