• Massimo Iosa Ghini was born in Bologna, 1959. He is an architect who graduated from the Milan Polytechnic.

    Since 1985 he has participated in the avant-garde of Italian design, for the Bolidismo group of which he is founder, and is part of the Memphis group with Ettore Sottsass.

    His professional evolution takes place in the design, in the planning of commercial and museum architectures, in the design of areas and structures dedicated to public transport, as well as in the design of chain stores built all over the world, developing projects for important international groups such as Ferrari, Capital Group, IBM Italia, CMC Group Miami, Seat Pagine Gialle, Alitalia and many others.

    His design and architecture projects have received important mentions such as that for the Compasso D'Oro ADI Award, and numerous awards including the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum, the Red Dot Award and the iF Product Design Award , Germany, the Roscoe Award in the USA, the IAI AWARD Green Design Global Award and the IAI Awards , Shanghai, China.

    In 2013, the Milan Triennale dedicated an entire anthology to his 30 years of professional career, from his beginnings to sustainable today, re-proposed by MAMbo - Museum of Modern Art of Bologna in 2014. 

    In 2015 one of his retail concepts, KIKO MILANO, won in the BEST RETAIL GLOBAL EXPANSION category at MAPIC 2014.

    On 25 April 2015, the Marconi Foundation and the Marconi Institute for Creativity awarded him the Marconi Prize for Creativity in recognition of his creative abilities. 

    In 2017 he was chosen as the "Ambassador of Italian Design" as part of the Italian Design Day - IDD, a project organized and coordinated by the Farnesina, to enhance Italian design around the world.
